ACTIVITY DESIGN
I. GENERAL INFORMATION:

Title :” CLEAN UP DRIVE”

Date : October 09,2019

Venue : Matanao Public Market

II. RATIONALE:
Cleanliness means that there is no dirt, no dust, no stains, no bad smells. The
goals of cleanliness are health, beauty, absence of offensive odour and to avoid the
spreading of dirt and contaminants to oneself and others.
With the help of cleanliness, we can keep our physical and mental health clean, which
will make us feel good. It gives rise to a good character by keeping body, mind, and soul clean
and peaceful. It is also an essential part of healthy living because it helps to improve our
personality by keeping clean externally and internally.\
It is everybody’s responsibility and one should keep themselves and their surroundings
clean and hygienic. It also brings good and positive thoughts in the mind which slows down the
occurrence of diseases.

III. OBJECTIVES:
a. To helps the community/ surroundings clean and hygienic.
b. Develops positive thoughts in the mind which decreases diseases.
c. Develops the virtue of responsibility.

IV. METHODOLOGY:
In order to realize the said activity, the following steps shall be taken;

1. Releasing memo regarding the said activity to all Grade level Coordinators from
Grade 7 to Grade 12, in order to inform their teachers and students.
2. Creation of Committees to perform, oversee and monitor specific task before and
after.
3. Activities will be documented by the assigned person.

VII. SOCIO-ECONOMIC JUSTIFICATION: (KAAYUAN)

Cleanliness gives rise to a good character by keeping body, mind, and

soul clean and peaceful. Maintaining cleanliness is the essential part of healthy living
because it is the cleanliness only which helps to improve our personality by
keeping clean externally and internally.
It plays an important role in our day to day routine. It is important as it prevents
dangerous diseases like Dengue, typhoid, hepatitis, and other diseases caused by
mosquito bite, etc.
Also, through this activity positive attitude of every individual developed. Knows
the importance of having clean and healthy surroundings or society as well. Most they
learned how to value cleanliness and responsibility.

VIII. SUSTAINABILITY

In order to sustain this activity, other related activity will soon be conducted.

Good Day!

The Matanao National High School will be conducting a half day “CLEAN UP DRIVE”
around Matanao Public Market, Poblacion. This is to complies with the implementation of the
Value Clusters for Ethical themes under DepEd Memorandum 174 s, 1995. Since, the value
cluster for Ethical theme for the month of October is Responsibility. Being a good individual
we, have greet responsibility in our community to make it clean and free from any diseases.
To have a healthy sorroundings.

In this connection. We would like to request an approval from your good office to
conduct the said activity on October 9, 2019. The participants of this event will be all Senior
and Junior Teachers and Students of Matanao National High School.
