Hi again!

This is a letter from Miranda Britt and Lydia Scott, the two
student teachers who have been interacting with your children through
science-based lessons we taught this year.
As the year comes to a close, we wanted to share with you the
different activities that we engaged in with your young learners. Our focus
was the topic of air; we introduced this topic through catching air with
plastic bags.
We then moved on to building weather vanes and learning about wind.
Then we experimented with wind power through an engineering type
experience. Using milk cartons and cups, students created their own boats
using recycled materials. Finally, students were able to design their own
flying machines from a book we read in class called Violet the Pilot.
Additionally, we engaged in a fun science experiment using baking
soda and vinegar where the students created a chemical reaction and were
exposed to chemistry.
Again, it was such an honor to be a part of this classroom through this
amazing experience. We thank you so much for allowing us to be a part of
your childs education!

Thank you,
Miranda Britt and Lydia Scott
