Evaluate Practice with Individuals, Families,
Groups, Organzations, and Communities

Practice Behavior: 28
Select and use appropriate methods for evaluation
of outcomes.
When faced with my first case of rape and my first case of
suspected child abuse and maltreatment, I offered input to
help my supervisor and I interpret the information provided
by the students. Through my input offered and professional
input, both cases were reported to DSS and continued
monitoring was determined.

Practice Behavior: 29
Apply knowledge of human behavior and the social
environment, person-in-environment, and other
multidisciplinary theoretical frameworks in the
evaluation of outcomes.
When dealing with rape, suspected child abuse and
maltreatment, behavioral issues, unexcused absences and
tardies that students encounter, I apply knowledge gained
from HBSE I and HBSE II to evaluate practice with the
students and families.

Critically analyze, monitor, and evaluate intervention and
program processes and outcomes.
Reporting to DSS, consulting with the Principal, and/or continued
monitoring are usually the outcome to many situations faced by the
students.
For example: A student office worker came into my supervisors office very
upset about an issue concerning her headphones. As the student shared the
issue encountered with me, I interpreted the information and consulted with the
School Counselor and my supervisor to determine the next step to take to
address the issue. Once a solution was determined to address the issue, my
supervisor stated we would, as well as the Principal and School Counselor,
continue to monitor the student and the other student involved in the issue.

Apply evaluation findings to improve practice
effectiveness at the micro, mezzo, and macro levels.
After recognizing the majority of students with unexcused
absences at Fairmont Middle School from the PowerSchool
Report, I implemented the Agency Project, Making IT
Count, to get feedback from the students on ways they
could improve their attendance. I am hoping this project
will improve effectiveness at the micro and mezzo levels.
