Assessment Title: Final assessment report.
Topic: Health and Nutrition.
(Food).

My science lesson was about Health and Nutrition

and we specifically talked about Food. And the
lesson was for grade (3) which is for age (8).
We used different objectives for the lesson, like:
Students will able to compare between healthy
and unhealthy food.
Students will be able to know what is good for
their health.
Students will be able to know what does the
food contains of.
Students will be able to classify between the
vegetable and fruits.

In every lesson we do, we have to use the 5Es, so

we can know what we should do for explaining the
lesson to the students. And as we know the 5Es
are, Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate, Evaluate.
First we have to Engage the students, and
Engaging is the first thing that the teacher have to
do it to start her lesson, by giving the students a
mystery box or a video to watch that can make the
student feel ready for the lesson.
Second, we have Explore, and Exploring is the
second stage where the children will explore about
the lesson that they will have it, for example, if the
lesson it about plants, the teacher will let them to
go out and see the plants and discover them so
nearly.
Third, Explain, and Explaining is when the students
start talking about what they saw, and discuss
about the things that they did, incase if they did an
experiment.
Fourth, Elaborate, Elaborating is more like
comparing the lesson with our real lives, so the
student can habe enough knowledge about the
lesson that they took.
Finally, Evaluate, and Evaluating is the most
important step, where the teacher have to make
sure that the students understand the lesson, by

giving them work sheets, or asking them a

questions in a whole class group.

Every step in the 5Es has a special point of it and

a good reason to explain the lesson in the
classroom, like the engaging part is important for
the students to be ready for the lesson, and as we
did in our video, we engaged the students by
asking them what they like to eat and we wrote it
on the board. And about the exploring part, it was
fun because the students enjoyed doing the
experiment, and they started discussing and
talking about what they saw in the explaining part.
All though in our video lesson that we did, we had
some good times and bad times while doing our
work.
The struggle that we had at the beginning is FIND
AN EMPTY CLASSROOM, so we started looking for a
calm, cold, and empty classroom so we can film
our video, we started form F block to A block, and
we still didnt find an empty classroom in this huge
campus!, in the end we went upstairs and we
found that cold and calm classroom that we can
film our lesson. And then we had another problem

which is when we wanted to film our video, we

didnt had enough space in our phones, and we
didnt brought our camera, and then we figured out
that there is a camera in my laptop, so we backup
our phones with my laptop and started filming, and
the other problem was, when we started filming we
couldnt stop LAUGHING which is took us about 5
to 15 minutes to film our lesson, but then we took
it easy and film it.
But we had a good things that happened to us
while filming the lesson, and it was that when we
started teaching and we started to interact with
teaching the students. And in my opinion I think it
was a good experience to me because I knew how
to teach according to the 5Es, and what I learned
the most is how to manage my time, moreover,
how can we manage the class and the students
while teaching.

In our video lesson, we worked in pairs whereas

Moza and I worked together. But each one of us did
something so we can be equal, and in this table I
will explain everything in a specific way.

In the end of my report, I think that teaching by

using the 5Es is a better way for a teaching
method whereas the teacher will be able to work
so easily with the students, moreover, the student
will understand the lesson because the teacher is
explaining it in order. And the last thing I want to
say that I learned many things while filming this
video, which group work and time management.
