using objects. using cut-outs. using gestured. perfoming actione. using photos. The
picture or diagram on the board. The picture from a book. Explain the seven ways
clearly.
Answer :
a. Objects
using the objects meaning is using of various objects around. for example objects in
class, such as books, blackboards, pens, pencils and others. for example we we
want to teach the shapes to students. we can take a box of toothpaste, then ask
them what this box looks like?
b. Cut outs
vocabulary is more fun to learn by turning the process into a game, like a word
guessing game. Students can take turns acting out one of the vocabulary words,
while the other students guess the word.
c. Gesture
Body language or commonly referred to as gesture is the movement of human body
parts such as eyes, shoulders, hands, feet when communicating with other people.
Naturally, body language is a reflex that occurs as a form of reinforcement of
messages about ongoing communication. for example, when doing word guessing
games. The teacher can imitate a chicken walking, a rabbit jumping and a fish swim.
d. Perfoming actione
To teach the meaning of a command sentence such as: Sit down! , Stand up !,
Open the door! It will be easier for students to understand when the teacher does it
by practicing directly demonstrating what is ordered instead of simply writing it on the
blackboard and asking students to read and memorize it.
e. Using photos
the teacher uses the photo as a teaching aid. for example on that day the teacher
wanted to teach about fruits. then the teacher shows various kinds of fruit photos,
such as grapes, apples, bananas and others. then on the back of the photos are
words like description
f. The picture or diagram on the board
use the help of a picture or diagram. as in the family theme. the teacher can make a
family tree diagram. Like father, mother, sister and brother on board. The diagram
is equipped with a written description. With diagrams students will find it easier to
understand the lesson.
g. The picture from a book.
using a picture in a book, for example the teacher asks let's go to page 20. Now we
will see what pictures are on page 20
