Description: The lesson plan will focus on learning the different terminology for
different exercises in weightlifting and the form for the exercise. The first part of the
lesson students will quiz themselves to see what they already know or do not know.
Then students will perform lifting exercises to working on form and technique. After the
lesson students will understand the basic terminology of exercises and know how to
perform the exercise with proper form.
Instructional Objective:
Students will be able to:
1. Apply the correct terminology associated with weightlifting
2. Demonstrate proper form during weightlifting

Step 1: Class will start by with student s sitting in a group and doing an assessment.
Students will use the EdPuzzle app as a study tool to quiz themselves on different
terminology used for many different exercises. H-2.1

Step 2: As the teacher I will put students in random groups then give the student a
specific exercise. The student will upload a video into CoachesEye. So the teacher can
watch the students form as well as the student to correct any mistakes they are making
form and technique wise. H-1.1

Step 3: Students will use Socrative as a exit slip. The class will use tablets and take an
assessment together. It will be a review type assessment where they will answer
questions about things they have learned. The items on the assessment will be different
terminology regarding weightlifting and images of different exercises. The assessment
will give instant feed back if they are correct or wrong. H-3.3
