Classroom Procedures and Policies


I.

Introduction
A. These procedures and policies are designed to create a
positive classroom environment where students and teachers are safe,
supported, and successful. The goal of this classroom is for everyone
to grow and these procedures and policies will encourage that growth!

II.

Procedures for Arrival


A. Students should be prepared for class as soon as the bell
rings.
1. Students should be in their assigned seats
with all required materials.
B. Teacher will begin class when all students are seated in
their assigned seats.

III.

Procedures for Dismissal


A. Right before the bell rings, students should be in their
assigned seats and not leave until dismissed by the teacher.

IV.

Restroom Policy
A. No restroom passes will be given during the first ten
minutes of class.
1. This is to ensure that attendance is properly
taken and that students wont miss copying the Objectives for
the day.
B. Only one student may go to the restroom at any given
period.
C. Students should ask permission to use the restroom when
teacher is not talking or by raising his/her hand.

V.

Absences & Late Work

A. If student is absent, it is his/her responsibility to make up


any assignments or assessments in a timely manner when he/she
returns to school.
B. All work and instructions will be posted on Google
Classroom by the end of the day.
C. Students should seek help from the teacher if he/she
needs clarification on assignments, assessments, instructions, etc.
D. Late work is any work that is not turned in on the day it
is due regardless of circumstance.
1. Students will not be penalized for late work
when there is a valid excuse (e.g. absence).
2. Late work should be handed directly to the
teacher, unless instructed otherwise.
VI.

Personal Electronics in the Classroom


A. Use of personal electronic devices, including cell phones,
ipods, ipads, laptops, headphones, etc, is NOT allowed during class
time unless otherwise instructed.
1. Texting, watching movies/videos unrelated
to class, and/or playing games on any electronic devices is
NEVER allowed during class time.
B. Personal electronic devices including headphones should
not be seen and/or heard during class time. Students should keep them
in their bags, pockets, or under their desks.
C. Charging of personal electronic devices during class time
is NOT allowed.
D. Teacher will give students ONE warning if they use their
electronic devices in class.
E. Teacher will take away any electronic devices from the
student for the remainder of the class period if student continues to
use electronic device after the first warning.
