Stage 2 Update
Dear Parents and Caregivers,
Welcome back to Term Two.
Thank you for the feedback we received last term regarding homework. We have
considered all suggestions and have consequently made some changes to the
homework this term.
Homework this term will now include a grid with twelve boxes. The three activities in
bold will remain the same each week and are to be completed every week. These
activities consist of daily spelling and reading practise, as well as a Mathematics
worksheet. The Mathematics activities are based on the concept taught in class in
the previous week.
Your child will need to select an additional three activities from the grid to be
completed each week. The following week, your child will select three different
activities from the same grid. Each fortnight a new grid will be sent home.
Homework will continue to be returned to the classroom teacher every Friday.
To further support students learning between home and school we have established
a stage website for students to access. The website will include useful information for
families to use at home. The homework grid will also be located on the website each
fortnight.
For students who have returned their Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) parent and
student contracts, students may start bringing their device from Monday 2 nd May.
