Situational Conversation
A: Dàifu, wǒ tóuténg, késou, sǎngzi téng.
大夫，我头疼、咳嗽、嗓子疼。
Doctor, I’m having a headache, sore throat and cough.
B: Nǐ xiān liáng yíxià tǐwēn ba. Qǐng jiěkāi yīfu.
你先量一下体温吧。请解开衣服。
I’ll take your temperature first. Please unbutton your coat.
A: Hǎo de, wǒ hǎoxiàng shì gǎnmào le.
好的，我好像是感冒了。
OK. It seems I’m having a cold.
B: Sānshíbā dù, nǐ fāshāo le. Wǒ gěi nǐ kāi diǎr yào.
三十八度，你发烧了。我给你开点儿药。
38 degree, you’re running a fever. Take some medicine.
A: Dǎzhēn shìbushì kěyǐ hǎo de kuài yìdiǎnr ?
打针是不是可以好得快一点儿？
Is injection more effective ?
B: Shì de, nà jiù xiān dǎ yì zhēn ba. Yào měitiān chī sān cì, měicì yí piàn.
是的，那就先打一针吧。药每天吃三次，每次一片。
OK. Then have an injection first. Take this medicine three times a day,
one tablet each time.
A: Ǹg, háiyào zhùyì diǎnr shénme ma ?
嗯，还要注意点儿什么吗？
OK. Anything I should pay attention to ?
B: Duō xiūxi, duō hē shuǐ, duō chī diǎnr shuǐguǒ.
多休息，多喝水，多吃点儿水果。
Take good rest, have more water and fruits.
