Vanessa is & very mature young lady who has remained focused on challenging herself and giving back to her ‘community throughout high school. “Vanessa is a very dedicated and hard-working student. She has been a four year member of our AVID program and has taken her preparation for college very seriously. ‘Vanessa will be the first in her family to attend college and has worked hard to take challenging courses in order to assure she is ready for the rigors of college. She has continued that into her senior year as well. Vanessa’s academic success is especially impressive considering her level of commitment to her school and community. ‘She has shown excellent time management skills over the years, something that will be of great help to her in coflege. _In addition tothe challenging schedule of classes she has maintained each year, Vanesse has also been a very committed member of several clubs and sport teams. She will be a four year member of our Yolleyball and track teams and has also participated on a travel volleyball team. She has been involved Jn our LINK program which pairs upperclassmen with freshmen to help them with the transition to high school. She is also involved in our AVID club and Pacific Club, which is a club based on inclusion and service. Through her lub involvement she has volunteered over 300 hours of ‘community service, a number that I am sure will grow over the course of this year. Vanessa is truly one of our community's finest young people. She is intelligent, highly motivated, and ‘well prepared to undertake the rigors of university work.
