Pre-assessment
- The teacher will present the lesson
- The teacher will read the book aloud to the students
- The teacher will allow for discussion at the end and ask questions to prompt the
students

- The teacher will assess the students through an online quiz
- The quiz will be taken by the students on tablets and the teacher will measure
grades after

Brown Bear, Brown Bear What Do You See? book

Tablet/computer for the students
Instructional Procedures

The teacher will introduce the lesson to the students through a Prezi or any presentation
resource
o The teacher will also point out the author and illustrator at the beginning of the
presentation
The teacher will read the book aloud to the students while displaying the book on a projector
for the students to view
With the guidance of the teacher, the students will then begin a discussion about the book
o Teacher will use prompts to get the students to discuss details about the book
o The teacher will ask question that go along with the plot of the book
o The teacher will answer any question students may have about the book
The teacher will wrap up by going over any lessons the book may have to offer
o The teacher may want to engage the students in an in class activity
For example, having the students color in the animals mentioned in the book to
reinforce their knowledge of colors

Extensions
- The teacher will use each animal in the book to represent a classroom job for each student
o Jobs will be rotated each week
