LESSON PLAN

ENGLISH

Topic: Wild animals – vocabulary, speaking exercises.

Time: 1 hour (45 min.)

- Deepening the scope of vocabulary – wild animals
- Developing listening skills
- Developing speaking skills
- Revising Present Simple Tense.
- Promoting interest in the project ‘Energy is power’.

Stages of the lesson:


1. Getting to know names of wild animals presented in the pictures (butterfly,
dolphin, wasp, chameleon, monkey, tortoise, tiger, crocodile, beetle,
salamander, frog).

2. Listing the animals under the headings: amphibians, insects, reptiles,


mammals

3. Describing the wild animals (group work) for other groups to guess.
e.g. A crocodile is a mammal. It lives in water. It has got a long body, a long
tail and four legs. It has got sharp teeth, too.
Present Simple – revision.

4. Comparison of wild animals that live in Poland and Tenerife – work with a
computer.
