Planning Memo: Project #2
Starting our second project of the semester, I have constructed the following planning memo to
help guide my editing and revision processes. I have chosen to edit the Usability Analysis of the
Atkins Library WorldCat Discovery Interface document by, Brooke Johnson, Joseph Samson,
and Sabrina Terry.
-The audience for this project is twofold: the original authors of the documents provided by the
students in 4181-001, Writing with User Documents and our instructor.
- The primary purpose of the edits will be to help improve the documents provided by the
students in 4181. The goal is to give beneficial suggestions and feedback to enhance the overall
product grammatically, linguistically, stylistically, etc.
- Particular topics/tasks to be included in the editing and revision process:

Choose a usability report to edit and revise

Consult the assignments and their deadlines
Write out a planning memo to help guide the process
Refer to the Style Sheet
Conduct the first edit
Follow-up with second edit with a peer
Make any final changes
Submit final edit

March 16, 2016 1st marked draft due
March 23, 2016 2nd marked draft due w/ assessment

Tone or voice: provide productive criticism without offending nor sounding derogatory. The
goal is to provide positive feedback in hopes of a better outcome for students on both ends.
