 Preliminary Task
• My preliminary task was to produce a front cover of a
school magazine. It had to feature a medium close
picture with a mast head and text. A contents page
mock had to be made also. (sketch)
• My target audience for this was anyone involved at
sheldon school so teachers, pupils and parents.
• In doing this preliminary task i gained basic photoshop
skills, it introduced me to the magazine market so i
found it very useful as it helped me prepare for the
real thing.

Too much wasted space.
Could be more eye catching (more
appealing to customer) could of
done this by using different fonts,
colours and effects.

Research for music magazine
I asked 20 random people
about what sort of music
magazine they would like to
buy/read. With the results
from this i determined what
sort of magazine i should make
to suit the market. I handed
my questionaires out to my
target audience. Which was

shots, but i really
knew what i
wanted all along..
