I became an educator because I believe that

every student has the right to experience success and that
the role of every teacher is to provide students with the tools and
opportunities they need to become caring, contributing, and constructive
members of their communities
To the make this possible, I will require the knowledge, skills, and, most
importantly, the passion to inspire every student, every day.

I will employ many tools to accomplish this goal:

Clear curriculum expectations,
Strengths-based approach,
New technologies to improve student learning,
Differentiated Instruction,
Community Building,
Assessment as, for and of learning,
Cultivation of a growth-mindset in myself and my students,
Character education
