CAS requirement?
For my second CAS service project, I choose to offer my help in a motorcycle wash. This place
was owned by a guy who joined a motorcycle community, so this place has many customers.
This motorcycle wash is located in Bogor. For this project, the supervisor will Sammy
Simanjuntak. He told me about this place and offer me to help the motorcycle wash since it
only has two workers. By doing this CAS project, I will be able to learn more especially about
ways to take care of motorcycles.
Undertaken new challenges This is my first time helping a real motorcycle wash. Therefore,
there are many challenges that I should face such as being able to work as hard as I could in
order to get a satisfying result. I should also understand properly about the use of the tools
used for washing the motorcycles. Since there are several steps in washing the motorcycles, I
need to work according to it so I wont make mistakes and lost the trust of customers there.
Shown perseverance and commitment in their activities For this service program, I have to
commit myself in helping the motorcycle wash so my work will benefit the workplace. I have
to be on time while attending this program, so I can help the workers as soon as possible. As a
requirement for this program, I have to attend this activity once every two weeks since the
supervisor must be free to watch over me.
Developed new skills From this service program, I can learn about motorcycles especially
how to use the tools to wash it and the proper way to do so. There are many ways to clean the
motorcycle and for this one, they used a high pressure water sprayer which the pressure can
be adjusted. I also learn about the use of different kinds of soap in washing motorcycles. By
doing this activity, I will be able to practice this steps on my own.
