Over Current:

In transformers, Over Current protection serves as back-up

protection.
Small distribution transformers are commonly protected only by fuses.

Transformers having ratings > 100kVA may be controlled by circuit

breakers for the over current protection.
50/51 relays sense the current levels and send trip signals to breakers.
