Shape Of Graphs
If a > 0, then the graph opens upward in a U shape, and has a Minimum Point
If a < 0, then the graph opens downward in a U shape, and has a Maximum Point
The graph is altered by the Table Of Values
Using x values and the equation f (x), or y, is equal to x^2, you can change the
width and the length of the graph.

Example of Table Values

One example of functions are
the Function Tables .
Once you find the x and y
coordinates, you can plot points
to make a graph.
(or a parabola in this case)

Additional Features
The a (from the ax2) will also tell you if the parabola opens UP or DOWN.
If it is positive, then it will open UP.
If it is negative, then it will open DOWN.

X intercept is where the graph intercepts the x-axis

Y intercept is where the graph intercepts the y-axis

The Line of Symmetry goes along the y-axis starting at the Vertex.
