Each year, approximately 3,000 undergraduate students live on campus in rez


most are new first-year students, but there are also some upper-year students return as student leaders in
residence

Carrefour Sherbrooke: Houses over 250 undergraduate students in double rooms, also the Health and Fitness
Living Learning Community of McGill is in this residence, this allows student to participate in recreational sporting
events, yoga, jogging, running clubs, and more activities, $9,400-10,800
Douglas Hall: north of McGill's main campus, divided into 8 houses, all of which share a common courtyard,
has single and/or double rooms, most single rooms are arranged in a suite with three bedrooms sharing a
common living area, there is a dining hall in the building, 8-month lease, $9,000-9,900 per person for 8 months
La Citadelle: Housing 286 students with both double and single rooms, La Citadelle has a large communal
kitchen that is available to all of its students, as well as a cafe on the ground floor; $9,800-11,000

Bishop Mountain Hall residences - McConnell, Molson, Gardner: directly beside Mount Royal Park, houses over
over 800 students, one central eating area, single and double rooms, 18 rooms per wing, co-ed, $7,900-8,600
MORE Shared-Facility Rez: 2 minute walk from campus, located in the neighbourhood Milton-Parc. Also close to
the athletics complex, grocery stores, pharmacies, numerous convenience stores, restaurants and downtown
Montreal. Single and double occupancy bedrooms and shared kitchens, bathrooms and common rooms. $8,00011,000
New Residence Hall: in the Milton-Parc Community, houses over 700 students, close to all the luxuries of
downtown Montreal. A study lounge can be found on every floor, single and double occupancy rooms with a
private bathroom, shared kitchen on every floor, $9,000-10,000

First Peoples' House: gives priority to Aboriginal students in both undergraduate and graduate programs, Co-ed
house with single bedrooms and shared living and kitchen areas, monthly rent for a regular, single room is $867
Royal Victoria College: minutes away from downtown Montreal, very close to main campus, alternating single-sex
floors and the west wing continues to be female-only housing. Has TV rooms, a games room, an aerobics room, a
study room and a large lounge that serves as a meeting place for people who want to chat and watch movies.

Solin Hall: southwest of McGill's downtown campus, 2, 3 and 4 bedroom apartments, some double bedrooms, all

are many small houses and apartments available in the area for student housing.

Residence - Food Plans

Benefits of a meal plan include: nutritious choices, convenience, variety, value and its time saving
Most/all residential students are enrolled in the mandatory residential meal plan

The Mandatory Residential Meal Plan applies to all students living in Carrefour Sherbrooke Residence,
Douglas Hall Residence, Gardner Hall Residence, La Citadelle Residence, Molson Hall Residence,
McConnell Hall Residence, New Residence Hall, Royal Victoria College Residence, University Hall
Residence and Presbyterian College

with the mandatory residential plan, food cost is charged to your McGill ID card, the card is like a debit
card for the McGill cafeterias, there are multiple adjustments you can make to personalize your plan

There are other, voluntary meal plans that are available for other students

Intramurals
There are four leagues of intramurals,
competitive, intermediate, beginner and
recreational
intramurals are a great way to meet new
people and relieve stress
you can compete in almost any sport
sports are divided into terms like high school
so there is variety

Varsity Sports
Mcgill has 29 varsity sports teams
varsity teams rank anywhere from volleyball to golf
to alpine skiing

McGills womens hockey team is 2nd and


the mens is in sixth
they are 4th in women's basketball

there are hundreds of clubs to choose from
so theres something that appeals to

there are many job opportunities for young people on campus and throughout Montreal

that is full of opportunities and has a beautiful campus (21st best university in
the world).
