It was a pleasure being Natalies faculty teacher for her 3rd Humber College Child and Youth Care internship
and seminar class from January to April 2016.
Natalie has a calm, gentle, and supportive presence that was reflected in all her seminar class interactions. She
viewed her work with clients thorough a holistic lens and generously shared her creative programming and
relationship building skills with her peers.
Natalie consistently displayed excellent time management and organizational skills that will serve her well in
the CYC field. She successfully completed all seminar assignments and expectations. Her weekly internship
minutes were professionally written, and an accurate reflection of her internship goals and activities.
Her passion, increased knowledge and understanding of working with youth experiencing mental health
challenges at St. Josephs Hospital Inpatient Unit was evident in all of her seminar discussions with myself and
peers. Natalies internship supervisor commented on her skills in forming positive therapeutic relationships with
clients, her ability to work cohesively as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, as well as her strength in
developing and implementing both individual and group strength based activities.
I would highly recommend Natalie for a position of employment in the Child and Youth Care field. Her
qualities of professionalism, initiative, and advocacy would be an asset to any agency or organization.
