I hope this letter finds you well Natalie Insinna is a former social work intern at Partnership with Children (PWC). PWC is a social services organization with a mission to strengthen the emotional, social, and cognitive skills of children in New York City so they can succeed in school, society, and life. PWC provides expert mental health services and support for children’s emotional well-being at over 30 public and charter schools across the 5 boroughs. Our staff collaborate with school leadership to build customized plans that are grounded in a trauma-informed approach and draw from a range of services including student counseling, family education, staff training, restorative practices, community outreach, and youth development programming. By promoting a strong positive school climate, addressing the mental health struggles of the most in-need students and providing teachers with the tools they need to support academic success and children’s emotional well-being, our programs help create the opportunity for students, families and entire communities to thrive. Natalie’s abilities to be empathetic and strengths-based were most evident in her individual counseling work. Natalie made a consistent effort to hold space for the experiences of the clients as they were shared in sessions. Natalie had a warm and inviting demeanor that allowed her to engage effectively even in larger settings with more students. The mindfulness group and emotion identification classroom intervention that she led were thoughtfully planned and well received. With this being said, I feel confident that she will be a positive addition to any school social work team. If you need any additional information or would like to discuss further, please feel free to reach out by phone or via email. Thank you. Sincerely,
Sarah Yo, LCSW
