Letter of Recommendation for Zia Jackson :

Garza Independence High School is an academic school of choice for students from all
comprehensive high schools in Austin, TX. Students must have 10 credits, follow an
application process, be interviewed, and attend an orientation. Students choose various
reasons to attend Garza: graduate early, increase grade point average, and participation in
our outstanding college counseling/recruiting.
Zia Jackson labored steadily and purposely to complete her Advanced Placement
Literature & Composition English course in order to have the opportunity to increase her
grade point average, graduate in three years, and have a broader selection of college
opportunities. She labored intensely to finish the first half of Advance Placement
Literature & Composition within weeks, and made immense progress in her ability to
communicate orally and in writing. Whatever it took, she continued to problem solve,
practice, and view learning as a positive experience that encouraged reaching an outcome
through organization and control of her written work.
Holly embodies a strong work ethic because of her ability for self direction, self
assessment, and self management. Even when given feedback on assignments, she
continued monitoring her performance, displaying responsibility, and exerted effort
towards completion.
Even though Zia is not sure what or where she will focus her amazing ambitions next, at
sixteen she has definitely utilized goals and objectives that mirror her intellect. Thus she
continuously demonstrates advanced learning, motivation, and amazing confidence to
excel.
