Chapter 1

Rob Annie was the regular average kid. He is a ten

year old fourth-grader. He had breakfast, then he went to
school, then he came home and had dinner. You would
think something cool would happen to everybody, but not
Rob.
Then there was Boy Scouts. Rob loved Boy Scouts.
His leader was his Dad, John. His father thought it was
miraculous how much he likes it. He liked everything about
scouts, tying knots, art, sports, ECT.
What was unknown about him was that he was a
very good singer. One day he saw a sign up in the school
hallway; it said, TALENT SHOW, MAY 3. Rob was
thinking about entering, but again he was shy. He went
home and sat in his room and thought about it. He decided
he would enter. He decided to sing a country song, which
he would write. He started writing it. None of his friends
even knew he could sing well. The next day he put his
signature on the list. He put it on the bottom of the list so
nobody would notice, but they did. His friends were
crowding around him after school wondering why he didn’t
tell them this before, and what are you singing. That’s just
the beginning of the story.

Chapter 2
Now he was really mad. He sprinted home as fast as
he could go. He ran in the door.
The next day (which was May 3rd) he got up,
immediately he started thinking about the talent show that
afternoon. This ended up being what felt like the longest
day in his life, he watched the clock slowly ticking the
whole day.
Finally it was time for the talent show. First a group of
his friends were up, and then there were a lot of people
who went. Now last but not least it was Rob’s turn. He
sang his song called “My Home” by Rob Annie. Next they
announced the final results. “Third place George Rock.”
“Second place The Sand Boys.” “May I have a drum roll
please,” “pat, pat, pat.” “The winner of the 61st annual
talent show is Rob…... Johnson!” Rob was so upset, but
that didn’t keep him from his goal, his goal was to win!!!
He went home and told his mom what had happened. He
sat in his room and sobbed himself to sleep. He had a
dream about winning the talent show. He woke up thinking
to himself, I’m going to do that one day, that’s going to
happen

Chapter 3
He still kept his singing up and the next year he won
the talent show! On year he made it to the national singing
contest, but he didn’t win. He kept on trying. Now we get
to the part when he is older. He started a band called
BackSpace, they were a Christian band. They sang songs
like Glorify Your Name, You Were There For Me (I Am
Yours), ECT. They were a pretty good band, they
performed for there families, the neighbors, not anybody
important. Kept on going with his life, got a job, got
married, had children, but his life is still nowhere near the
end. He was a food cashier, got used to saying paper or
plastic ma’am. His life was back to how he was when he
was a kid, average. He had some close calls. He just went
with the flow. He was pretty close to getting tired of his life
when, something amazing happened… He was invited to
the world singing competition by his old principal.
Chapter 4
Rob had won it, and now he had an official band
called The Grasshoppers. His band became very
famous. He was known throughout the country. He
met lots of famous people like other rock stars. He
even met and was interviewed by the president
Nicholas James Crookston. He also was known as
“The Cricket” because of the name of his band, he
was black, and he played good music.
Then one day he got very sick. His whole family
came to see him. Then a few weeks later…….
he…….. Died. Everybody missed him. He had a
funeral in Connecticut where he grew up. It rained all
day that day. Everybody thought it was God crying.
America was sad. He is King of Rock. He is America’s
Rock. The pride of America is gone now. It rained and
rained. It poured and poured. That day changed
everybody’s lives forever. Rob Jonathan Annie.
HONEST ABE
