Contact: Jon Lipshutz; 914-332-4985

White Plains – Richard Brodsky made the following statement today

regarding the legal requirement for candidates for Attorney General to
file their financial disclosure statements:

“Financial disclosure statements are a legal requirement of all candidates

running for Attorney General. We were informed that as of yesterday,
several candidates have not been in compliance with this law. If this is
the case, I ask those that have not filed to do so immediately and explain
why they had not filed on time. Of those candidates that have filed, I
would ask that they make their statements open to the public by allowing
the New York State Commission on Public Integrity to post them on their
website in unredacted form.”

Brodsky was fully compliant with the law when he filed his report on May
11, 2010. He has requested that the New York State Commission on
Public Integrity make is statement available for viewing on their website
in unredacted form.
