From the results of

this question, I can see that the trailers for soaps do have quite a positive impact on the amounts of
views they get. A majority of people said that they were sometimes influenced to watch a special
episode thanks to trailers, and over a quarter said that soap trailers are a big influence on their
viewing of soaps.

Morning Daytime Evening

From the results of this question, it’s clear to see that the evening is the most popular time for
people to be watching soaps. This may be because a majority of soaps are shown in the evening, but
also because a lot of people who work only have the evenings to do things like watch TV.

I also asked what occupations people had in order to get an idea of the sort of demographic
groupings which watch soaps. The groupings ranged from E with people like pensioners and students
up to C1 with jobs like probation officers. This is the sort of demographic range I expected to see
who watch soaps on a regular basis.
