Bowflex
Bowflex, famous for their home gym systems, is fast becoming one of the more popular
brands of home treadmills. Bowflex treadmills are well-built, have great warranties, and are
very affordable for what you get. One of the most popular Bowflex treadmills is the Bowflex

Bodyguard treadmills are designed and manufactured by Bodyguard Fitness. The company
has only been manufacturing treadmills since 1995 but they have quickly earned a

Precor
Precor treadmills are produced by Amer Group, which acquired Precor from Illinois Tool
Works in 2002. Amer Group is also home to such well known brands as Wilson Sporting

Proform
Proform treadmills are made by Icon Health and Fitness, the largest provider of retail fitness
equipment. Proform is one of the original Icon brands, and their line of Proform treadmills
are sold in most large mass merchandise stores. The various models of Proform treadmills
typically retail between $500 and $1,000 and feature short-lived warranties common on

Pacemaster treadmills are built by Aerobics, Inc. and have earned a solid reputation for

Horizon treadmills are manufactured by Johnson, the same manufacturer who makes
products sold under the Vision Fitness brand. They are fairly popular because of their low

The New Balance treadmill is distributed by Fitness Quest, and the combination of
marketing muscle and good brand recognition should help them gain market share as they
go along. There are several different models of the New Balance treadmill, ranging in price
