I, the affiant, have good reason and do believe that on or about the Ist day of November, 20 19, one (name of suspect) Davlon Kugene Reason B/M SIE did then and there in the City of Dallas, Dallas ‘County, Texas commit the offense of Murder , a violation of Section 19.02 of the Texas Penal Code, a F/1. Affiant’s belief is based upon the following facts and information which Affiant received from: JX] Affiant’s personal investigation of this alleged offense, oO a fellow peace officer of the City of Dallas, Dallas County, Texas, who personally participated in the investigation of this alleged offense, providing this information to Affiant, and whose information Affiant believes to be credible. On November the 1 of 2019 at approximately 8:30 pm Complainant Cedric Mcdonald B/ iis was shot and killed while driving Westbound in the 1100 Block of West Ledbetter Dallas, Dallas County, Texas, During this investigation Witness Duren was interviewed several times and he stated he was sitting inside Complainant Modonald's vehicle in the front passenger seat as the suspect drove past and shot the Complianant. Witness Duren stated that the suspect car where the shots came from looked like a silver or gray car with tinted windows, Witness Duren stated that he and the complainant had just left the Big T Plaza located down the street off of West Ledbetter from doing some clothes shopping and it was possible that the suspect could have followed them from the shopping plaza. Detective Sayers contacted Witness Keith Song who is the manager of the Big T Plaza shopping center and Keith allowed Detective Sayers access to the Video Recording footage the night that this offense happened. Detective Sayers Reviewed several hours of Video and was able to find a suspect who was driving a Silver Toyota Corolla with a Texas License plate off Detective was able to find a good image from this surveillance footage of the individual who was driving the suspect car. Detective was able to follow the car from the time the suspect left the plaza shopping center and enter the car to the time that the suspect watched and followed the complainant and Witness out of the Complex. Detective was also able to determine froth the video that the suspect was in the car by himself. Detective Sayers was able to obtain video surveillance down the street at the shooting offense location that shows the same silver Toyota driving past the complainant's car after it was shot and away from the scene. Detective was able to contact the lien holder and spoke to a Representative who confirmed that the vehicle that they haad a tracker on was at the offense location on the day of the murder just prior to the murder the same time it is seen on video. This same representative informed Detective Sayers that the owner of the car was out of state and the owners younger brother was driving the car.
