Power Sovece Volrage
Apply @ power source voltage that is within +107 of the rated valucs as given in the table below. Operation with
1 voltage Tess than 10% of rated value may recult in improper performance of the LBO.508, and a valrage mare
than 10% of rated value may damage power supply circuitry

‘The huilein power transformer has taps of 100, 115, 200, 215, 230V, To make the instrument suitable for a
focal fine voltage, rearrange the wiring of the transformer in accordance with the examples figured below. The
rating of the fuse used must be as shown in the ahave rable.

Tilt of Horizontal Traces
“The effecc of the earth's magnetic field, may cause sight silting uf the aves due to placement of the instcument.
Ifthe tik is operativually inconveaient, change the placement of the unit or slope the scale by means of the
SCALE TILT knob on the hood 20 that the scale is parallel with the traces.
Operation in a Powerful Magnetic Feld
Operation in a powestul magnetic Held will cause distortion of waveforms or make traces tilt excessively, Ifthe
instrument is operated close to machinery or equipment using a large transformer (200 to 300VA electric power),
2 great deal of hun will he noticed. Inthe worn cane, the aces may be so seveiely tilted that self-xestoration is
not possible. In this case, demagnerize the instrument by using the degaussing coil of a color television set,
DESCRIPTION OF PANEL FUNCTIONS
‘The operational functions on the front and sear panels are descetbed below, ‘The numbers refer to their placement as
shown ou the following, panel deawing.

(1) CRT Hood (Bezel)
Removal of the four hood nurs, will ree rhe hood, scale place, spacer ane yreen Citer. (Hokd the SCALE
TILT knob during the above procedure to avoid loss of scale tilt assembly.)
‘A contact camera may be weed on the expoted standard spaced, threaded hood bolt.
(2) The large boxes on the scale plate are calibrated in centimeters; the small vertical and horizontal markings
on the center vertical and center horizontal scale lines are wilimeter matkings (2 millimeters per marking)
In addition, the oblique lines, every 30 degrees, pointing towards the center of the scale are for vectorscope
for veetor pattern use. (Uhis application ie covered in detail on page 24 of this mannal)LE TILT
