    In Indonesian, there is no distinct term for interpretation as there is in English, which distinguishes between translation of written text and interpretation of oral language. This paper uses the terms "interpretation" and "interpreteur" because they are shorter than the English terms.     INTERPRETING

    INTERPRETATION

    In English, people distinguish a translation on a written language called


    translation and an oral language called Interpretation. Meanwhile in Indonesian
    we do not have a special term for an interpretation. In this paper, the
    interpretation term and interpreteur used because the term is shorter when
    compared with interpretation and interpreting.

    At first glance, interpretation and translation nearly equal, the different is the
    media that used. In translation, we used a text written media, while
    interpretation used oral discourse. But in this area the different are
    significantly, one of the main skills required from a translator is writing skills or
    express Bsa ideas in written language. so maybe, a good translator can not
    speak well on a Bsa or Bsu. The Other skills that required from a translator is
    ability to understand language and culture from the Bsu text also an ability to
    use the dictionary and the other refrences. The translate can be done anywhere
    and anytime, with the help of a dictionary even with the help of friends.
