Teachers have been with the vital task of providing education to the children, which is one of the
basic needs of society. B.Ed. course is a teacher training course. B.Ed. trainees are exposed to two
methods of school subjects based on their content specialization at the graduation on the pedagogy of
adolescent psychology. Teachers' self-confidence means "teachers believe that they can enable their
students to gain the knowledge as required by the curriculum with the help of the best teaching
methods". The present investigation aimed to study the effect of locality, age and marital status upon
self-confidence of B.Ed. trainees. Self-confidence was assessed by 'Self-confidence Inventory'
constructed by Rekha Agnihotri. The data was collected from randomly selected 60 B.Ed. trainees.
Results of the study revealed that locality and marital status did not affect self-confidence of B.Ed.
trainees, but age affected it- trainees over 25 years of age were found to be more confident than that of
under 25 years of age.
