Session Plan for 28.03.

2010
The aim of this recording session is to continue familiarisation with microphone set up, signal flow
and basic recording techniques. We hope to come out of the session with some decent, good
quality recordings which could be used as part of the P1 assignment.

In this session we will be recording an acoustic guitar, electric guitar and vocals.

Assuming little experience, we anticipate extra time may be needed for the assembly and
positioning of equipment i.e. microphones. Hence we are opting for 8 hours of studio time.

For this session we will require:

• 2 x engineers
• 1 x musician and vocalist
• 1 x acoustic guitar
• 1 x electric guitar
• 1 x guitar cabinet
• 1 x synthesiser
• 1 x laptop

We will also need to book out:

• 1 x DI box
• 1 x mic preamp
• 6 x microphones
• 1 x caddy for MTR
• Plus all appropriate cabling
