    The wide spread application and rapid revolution of computers and Internet technology has made the
    use of them a must for many people including people with disabilities. This paper presents the new
    trends and developments in computers aimed as aid to visually impaired people in general . The
    developments include the various input and output devices used in conjunction with computers, the
    various software packages designed for the visually impaired.
