Google Group Debate 3 It is focused on the agricultural and food sector. People are not required to answer directly to the questions, but they can use them as prompts. The question is about whether we just need to increase technology or can we depend on natural, low-tech agricultural means to meeting the soaring global food demand? Jared and Ruanxi sent out the Debate 3 prompt. It is on email. Responses are due by this Thursday. Kevins recommendation to increase member engagement of debate: I want to see more SHARING. I suggest that everyone initially writes out there initial opinion based off of what they already know. It can be short. Then you can write a more in length response about what you researched and what you believe now. Jared said he will push for more questions as more people respond to the debate. Board of Advisors As we become more formal, it will be important for us to recruit advisors. This means reaching out to people of key interest like professors, professionals that we would want to help guide our direction. It sounds like this is still up in the area. SMART GOALS Instead of pushing this, team members felt is was important to set up a CLEAR 3 MONTH SMART GOAL PLAN. Jared had already created a draft via email. Please see email and give comments. We will finalize it on Saturday as deciding our strategy for moving forward. This way we can have something presentable to show to the people we want to recruit. Reflections: Most members will submit reflections in before this following Saturday. People can post reflections on the weebly website under the tab Sustainable Collaboration. Kevin Osborne has already submitted his. Update: Google Group Debate 2 Summary and Chat all posted on Weebly Kevin Osbornes reflection is posted
