It may be helpful to think of this as a soundtrack for the movie. Find a song or songs that capture, imitate, or share (through sound and/or words):

1. The main characters overall personality (Clay or Hannah). 2. Other characters general characteristics. 3. The primary conflict, capturing the thoughts, feelings and emotions of the novel. 4. The setting of your assigned selection. 5. The emotion of one particular scene from the novel. 6. The overall mood (Your feelings). 7. The tone (authors attitude) of the novel. 8. The theme carried throughout the entire novel or part of the novel.
