    To ALL CCPOA Members: Monday, CCPOAwas advised of a letter that is being sent to ALL COCRemployees from the COCRHuman Resources division. The purpose of this letter is to inform each employee of their seniority score and provide you with the opportunity to dispute any discrepancies should one exist.

    The letter is being sent based on the premise that staffing reductions will occur as a result of the passage of AB109, which is designed to move some LOW LEVELoffenders out of the state system and return them to local supervision. Though the letter does not mention the recent Supreme Court decision, the expected population reductions may also correlate to staffing changes. We at CCPOA believe that this letter, though necessary at some point, is premature. As of this writing, COCRmanagement has not presented a plan to CCPOAfor the implementation we have had no substantive discussions with COCRregarding implementation. of ABI09, in fact, to date No reliable data has

    been shared with us regarding the number of staff vacancies across the state, the number of nonpermanent staff holding positions, nor any kind of time frame for any possible staff reductions to occur. As we work to learn more, we are tentatively scheduled to meet with COCRmanagement on Thursday, July 28 for a briefing on COCR'scurrent thinking about ABI09, but we do not expect to walk away with concrete answers on their implementation Administration plans. We also plan to meet with the Governor's next week to seek further clarification on Governor Brown's vision for ABI09.

    This notice is being provided to you in an effort to keep CCPOAmembers updated with the most current information that we have. Please don't be alarmed when you receive your Seniority Score Verification available from your local management team. We are doing from CDCRand the Administration and will pass it along to with other members and letter and there is no additional information everything we can to get more information
