School Readiness Good parenting has a lot to do with how well your children adapt to school. There are many things you can do to help prepare your children for school. Throughout their earliest years, you can help your children grow, develop and have the right attitude towards school. From infancy on, you can: Teach good personal health and hygiene habits Teach children about trust and loving relationships Encourage and nurture their natural curiosity Provide opportunities for them to play and learn Set high standards for children and encourage them to try new things Provide lots of guidance and praise Build your childs self-worth and self-esteem Provide chances for them to succeed Teach children to get along with others, take turns and share Teach children to be polite and well behaved Make learning fun
Starting in September CCC specialists will be available every Tuesday from 1:002:00 PM to answer your questions. Send an email (sfoley@childcarechoices.org) or call in 419-468-7581 or toll free 1-800-92CHILD.
