Irish author Eoin Colfer was born in 1965 in Wexford, on the coast of south-eastern Ireland. He is the son of an actress and teacher of history. Kolfer began to write stories at the school.
In 1995 Kolfer wrote an adventure book, "Benny and Omar about two friends Irish and Tunisian boys, which was released in 1998 and became an international best-selling children's literature.
The book "Benny and Babe" was published in 1999 and was nominated for Book of the Year in Ireland and Kolfer s children's novel, "Four Wishes " has won this award in 2001
