2009 this advisory is issued for the information of DepEd officials and personnel (Visit DepEd website at www.deped.gov.ph) September 14, 2011 5TH NATIONAL TRAINING-WORKSHOP ON BUILDING AND SUSTAINING A VIBRANT SCHOOL CULTURE (PRINCIPLES, ISSUES AND CHALLENGES RELATED TO SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT) The University of Asia and the Pacific (UA&P) through the School of Education and Human Development (SED) will conduct the 5th National Training-Workshop on Building and Sustaining a Vibrant School Culture (Principles, Issues and Challenges Related to School Improvement) on October 19-21, 2011 at the Telengtan Hall, UA&P, Pearl Drive, Ortigas Center, Pasig City. At the end of the training-workshop, the participants shall be able to: 1. do self-audit and describe the culture of their respective schools; 2. have a deeper understanding of their school culture, its components, and the forces which shape it; 3. assess the operational implications of their self-audit and force-field analysis of the culture of their respective schools; and 4. draw up action measures for improving the present culture of their schools which focus on the key aspects or elements of school culture which are within their control. The participants to this activity are teacher-leaders from both public and private schools, school administrators, and graduates of Master of Arts in Values Education (MAVE). A registration fee of Four Thousand Five Hundred Pesos (PhP4,500.00) shall be charged to each participant to cover expenses for conference materials, certificates, snack and meals. The participants are encouraged to confirm their attendance on or before October 3, 2011.
