HISTORY:
The modern ball point pen was invented in 1938 by journalist BIRO. In
1930 ,he was working as editor .He was upset by filling fountain pens and cleaning up
smugged Pages and sharp tip tore his pages, So he decided to create a Pen using same ink
such that viscous ink would not flow into a regular fountain pen nib. With the help of his
brother George, they created a Pen. Bíró filed a British patent on 15 June, 1938.

DESCRIPTION :
A ballpoint pen, known in British English as a biro (pronounced
bye-row in Britain but sometimes bee-row elsewhere, depending on location), is a
modern Writing instrument. Ballpoint pens have an internal chamber filled with a
Viscous ink that is dispensed at the tip during use by the rolling action of a small metal
sphere (0.7 mm to 1 mm in diameter); the ink dries almost immediately after contact with
paper. Inexpensive, reliable and maintenance-free, they have almost completely replaced
the Fountain pen Firstly, this pen was used by the Company : Reynolds International
Pen Company. The first ballpoint pens went on sale at Gimbals’ department store in
New York City on October 29, 1945 for US$12.50 each.

BALL PENS IN EVERYDAY LIFE :

Ball pens are very cheap, reliable so that
they can be put in our pockets, handbags, purses, bags in cars and almost anywhere where
one could conceivably need to use a ball Pen. Ball Pen is very ideal for making carbon
copies also.So at the end we can say that without Pen our life is helpless because THE
PEN is Sword of Writer.
