    RECTANGLE :------ Rectangle is a closed simple

    figure in which opposite sides are equal . In this figure

    AB=DC & AD=BC


    (1) AREA OF RECTANGLE :-------

    ABCD is a Rectangle in which AB=l, BC =b, CD=l, DA=b

    Where l = length
    b = breadth

    AREA OF RECTANGLE = length  breadth

    A = l  b
    (2) PERIMETER OF RECTANGLE :-------

    PERIMETER OF RECTANGLE
    (P) = AB+BC+CD+DA
    = l + b +l + b
    = 2l + 2b
    = 2( l + b )

    Perimeter of Rectangle = 2(length breadth)
