Jade is reading!
As for God, His way is perfect: The LORDs Word is flawless 2 Samuel 22:31 NIV
What an exciting time this school year has been already. Homeschooling is definitely one of the most difficult tasks our family has ever taken on, but it has already been one of the most rewarding as well. It is most exciting to be playing a vital role in teaching Jade how to read. Each day she grasps a little more than the day before, and we can just see the whole world opening up with possibilities for her. Everywhere you turn she is reading road signs, food labels and even the fine print from infomercials! Did you know that current statistics from the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization are that one in five adults is still not literate in the world? learn how to improve their familys health, run a business, defend themselves from fraud, seek justice and, above all, grow closer to God by reading the Scriptures. Literacy is a key to fulfilling the Great Commission. Jesus instructed His disciples to go and make disciples of all the nationsteach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you (Matthew 28:1920, NLT). When people can read, or know someone who can read to them, the written Word of God becomes invaluable to their spiritual growth as individuals and churches. God used His Word to change me. When a person reads the Scriptures in his own language he understands the Word in his own heart. Men and women will understand if we use their language. They will really understand about Jesus Christ. In English, John 3:16 is not meaningful to me, but in my own language it is very clear. It is full of meaning. Our family is excited to be able to personally empower Jade through teaching her to read. We are also excited to be a part of the literacy work of Bible translation. Wycliffe field personnel work with local community members, teaching people to read and write, and endeavoring to establish literacy as a community value. In many language programs, literacy work goes Thank you for partnering with us to on side-by-side with Bible translation. help reach the last languages! Literacy changes the way people think Until all have heard, about themselves. It gives new value to their language and culture, and by implication, to their own person as well. Literacy also opens the door for education and growth. Readers can

Partnership
When our plans are interrupted, His are not. His plans are

proceeding exactly as scheduled, moving us always toward the goal of true maturity. ~ Elizabeth Elliot
Recently we learned that due to the fall of the dollar, the costs of living in Papua New Guinea are going up significantly beginning in October. This, accompanied with annual increases for our health insurance raises, our required monthly budget and therefore lowers our overall percentage. We are encouraged that Wycliffe works very hard to keep its missionaries prepared and does not want to see our family go to the field underfunded. We are also comforted by the knowledge that our God owns the cattle on a thousand hillsides and it is He that we are depending on! As you pray for us would you please consider this in your decision to partner with us? God uses people working together to accomplish His divine purposes. We invite you to join us in helping to make Gods Word available to every nation, tribe and language. For financial gifts, please make your check payable to Wycliffe Bible Translators and send it with a separate note stating for Marty and Sara Driggers, account #270928 to: P.O. Box 628200 - Orlando, Florida 32862-8200 Or go online to join our partnership team at: http://www.wycliffe.org/partnership.aspx?mid=6DB362 We couldnt do this task without you in our lives. Thank you for giving, praying and encouraging us so that we can fulfill the Great Commission together!
