Evaluating the Prelim

Learning Objectives: 1. To evaluate the prelim task in order to inform your main task production.

Discuss the answers to these questions:


1. What is the prelim brief? 2. What editing techniques can you use in iMovie? 3. How was every member of the group involved in the filming and editing process?

Preliminary Task Brief


A face-to face conversation between two characters. A character opening a door, crossing a room and sitting down in a chair opposite another character, with whom she/he then exchanges a couple of lines of dialogue. This task should demonstrate match on action, shot/reverse shot and the 180-degree rule. Final edit should be 30 Seconds in length.

What Should We Evaluate?

Create a post on your blog explaining:
a) What your role was in the filming and editing process

PEE

b) how you met the brief and edited 180 degree rule and match-on-action
c) Overall, what worked well and what could be even better about your groups planning, filming and editing of the prelim.
