What is useful information in this profile, if youre trying to make a FILM appeal to this target audience?
Gender: Male Age: 22 Occupation: Office Administrator Neil has two sisters. His parents split up when he was young. Although he lives with his mum, he still sees his dad occasionally. He went to college, where he was very good at sports, and after his A-levels got a job in office administration. He reads tabloid newspapers and sometimes his girlfriends copy of Heat. He likes sportswear brand Nike. He listens to Radio 1 in the mornings, and most of the music he buys is what he has heard on Radio 1s Breakfast Show. He liked the films Kick Ass and Hancock.

Focus Groups
Class Discussion: What do we want from our focus group?
- Identify potential TA and who to invite to focus group (selected sample) - Invite 5 10 people to a focus group (we could allocate 30 min time slots for each group during next Tuesdays double lesson and use ME1 and ME2) - Ask permission to film the focus group - Recording responses during focus group: Take notes (one person scribes) and/or record audio - During the focus group: Share treatment and/or pitch, give them a copy of a questionnaire, show them a key text from the genre and question their expectations and allow time for them to ask questions.

Homework
As well as gathering your 10 questionnaire responses, ensure you have arranged your focus group(s) by Tuesday 6th December
