Surah Nuh (Nuh)

ِ‫بِسْمِ الِ الرّحْمنِ الرّحِيم‬

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

 Surah Nuh (Nuh)

‫ك مِن‬
َ َ‫ن أَنذِرْ َقوْم‬ْ َ‫سلْنَا نُوحًا إِلَى َقوْمِهِ أ‬
َ ْ‫إِنّا أَر‬
ٌ‫قَبْلِ أَن يَ ْأتِيَهُمْ عَذَابٌ َألِيم‬

[71:1] Surely We sent Nuh to his people, saying:

Warn your people before there come upon them a
painful chastisement.
 Surah Nuh (Nuh)

ٌ‫قَالَ يَا َقوْمِ ِإنّي لَكُ ْم نَذِيرٌ ّمبِين‬

[71:2] He said: O my people! Surely I am a plain

warner to you:
 Surah Nuh (Nuh)

ِ‫لّ وَاتّقُو ُه وَأَطِيعُون‬

َ ‫أَنِ اعْبُدُوا ا‬

[71:3] That you should serve Allah and be careful

of (your duty to) Him and obey me:
 Surah Nuh (Nuh)

ٍ َ‫َيغْفِرْ لَكُم مّن ذُنُو ِبكُ ْم وَ ُيؤَخّرْكُمْ إِلَى أَج‬

‫ل‬
ْ‫ل الِّ إِذَا جَاء لَ ُيؤَخّ ُر لَوْ كُنتُم‬ َ َ‫سمّى إِنّ أَج‬ َ ّ‫م‬
َ‫َتعَْلمُون‬

[71:4] He will forgive you some of your faults and

grant you a delay to an appointed term; surely the
term of Allah when it comes is not postponed; did
you but know!
 Surah Nuh (Nuh)

‫ت قَ ْومِي َليْلً وَ َنهَارًا‬

ُ ‫قَالَ َربّ ِإنّي دَعَ ْو‬

[71:5] He said: O my Lord! surely I have called my

people by night and by day!
 Surah Nuh (Nuh)

‫َفلَمْ يَزِدْهُمْ دُعَائِي إِلّ فِرَارًا‬

[71:6] But my call has only made them flee the

more:
 Surah Nuh (Nuh)

ْ‫جعَلُوا َأصَابِعَهُم‬
َ ْ‫وَِإنّي ُكلّمَا دَعَوْ ُتهُمْ ِلتَغْفِرَ َلهُم‬
‫فِي آذَا ِنهِمْ وَاسْ َتغْشَوْا ثِيَا َبهُمْ وَأَصَرّوا‬
‫وَاسْ َتكْبَرُوا اسْ ِتكْبَارًا‬

[71:7] And whenever I have called them that Thou

mayest forgive them, they put their fingers in
their ears, cover themselves with their garments,
and persist and are puffed up with pride:
 Surah Nuh (Nuh)

‫جهَارًا‬
ِ ْ‫ثُمّ ِإنّي دَعَوْ ُتهُم‬

[71:8] Then surely I called to them aloud:

 Surah Nuh (Nuh)

‫ت لَهُمْ إِسْرَارًا‬
ُ ‫ت لَهُمْ َوأَسْرَ ْر‬
ُ ‫ثُ ّم إِنّي أَعْلَن‬

[71:9] Then surely I spoke to them in public and I

spoke to them in secret:
 Surah Nuh (Nuh)

‫فَقُ ْلتُ اسْ َتغْفِرُوا َربّكُمْ ِإنّهُ كَانَ غَفّارًا‬

[71:10] Then I said, Ask forgiveness of your Lord,

surely He is the most Forgiving:
 Surah Nuh (Nuh)

‫يُرْسِلِ السّمَاء عََليْكُم مّدْرَارًا‬

[71:11] He will send down upon you the cloud,

pouring down abundance of rain:
 Surah Nuh (Nuh)

ٍ‫جنّات‬
َ ْ‫وَ ُيمْدِدْكُ ْم بَِأمْوَالٍ َوبَنِينَ وَيَجْعَل لّكُم‬
‫جعَل لّكُمْ َأنْهَارًا‬
ْ َ‫وَي‬

[71:12] And help you with wealth and sons, and

make for you gardens, and make for you rivers.
 Surah Nuh (Nuh)

‫ل تَرْجُونَ لِّ وَقَارًا‬

َ ْ‫مّا َلكُم‬

[71:13] What is the matter with you that you fear

not the greatness of Allah?
 Surah Nuh (Nuh)

‫طوَارًا‬
ْ َ‫وَقَدْ خَلَ َقكُمْ أ‬

[71:14] And indeed He has created you through

various grades:
 Surah Nuh (Nuh)

‫طبَاقًا‬
ِ ٍ‫سمَاوَات‬
َ َ‫سبْع‬
َ ُّ‫أَلَ ْم تَ َروْا كَيْفَ خَلَقَ ال‬

[71:15] Do you not see how Allah has created the

seven heavens, one above another,
 Surah Nuh (Nuh)

‫شمْسَ سِرَاجًا‬
ّ ‫ن نُورًا وَجَعَلَ ال‬
ّ ِ‫وَجَعَلَ الْ َقمَرَ فِيه‬

[71:16] And made the moon therein a light, and

made the sun a lamp?
 Surah Nuh (Nuh)

‫ض نَبَاتًا‬
ِ ‫وَالُّ أَن َبتَكُم مّنَ الَْ ْر‬

[71:17] And Allah has made you grow out of the

earth as a growth:
 Surah Nuh (Nuh)

‫ثُمّ يُعِيدُكُ ْم فِيهَا وَيُخْرِجُكُ ْم إِخْرَاجًا‬

[71:18] Then He returns you to it, then will He

bring you forth a (new) bringing forth:
 Surah Nuh (Nuh)

‫ل لَكُمُ الَْرْضَ بِسَاطًا‬

َ َ‫جع‬
َ ُّ‫وَال‬

[71:19] And Allah has made for you the earth a

wide expanse,
 Surah Nuh (Nuh)

‫ل فِجَاجًا‬
ً ُ‫لِتَسُْلكُوا مِ ْنهَا سُب‬

[71:20] That you may go along therein in wide

paths.
 Surah Nuh (Nuh)

ْ‫صوْنِي وَا ّتبَعُوا مَن لّم‬

َ ‫ع‬َ ْ‫قَالَ نُوحٌ ّربّ إِ ّنهُم‬
‫يَزِ ْدهُ مَالُهُ َووَلَدُهُ إِلّ خَسَارًا‬

[71:21] Nuh said: My Lord! surely they have

disobeyed me and followed him whose wealth
and children have added to him nothing but loss.
 Surah Nuh (Nuh)

‫َومَكَرُوا مَكْرًا كُبّارًا‬

[71:22] And they have planned a very great plan.

 Surah Nuh (Nuh)

َ‫ن وَدّا وَل‬

ّ ُ‫ل تَذَر‬
َ َ‫ن آِلهَتَكُ ْم و‬
ّ ُ‫ل تَذَر‬
َ ‫َوقَالُوا‬
‫ق وَنَسْرًا‬
َ ‫ث وَيَعُو‬ َ ‫سُوَاعًا وَلَ َيغُو‬

[71:23] And they say: By no means leave your

gods, nor leave Wadd, nor Suwa; nor Yaghus,
and Yauq and Nasr.
 Surah Nuh (Nuh)

ً‫ن إِلّ ضَلَل‬

َ ‫ل تَزِ ِد الظّاِلمِي‬
َ َ‫َوقَدْ أَضَلّوا َكثِيرًا و‬

[71:24] And indeed they have led astray many, and

do not increase the unjust in aught but error.
 Surah Nuh (Nuh)

‫خلُوا نَارًا َفلَمْ يَجِدُوا‬

ِ ْ‫مِمّا خَطِيئَاتِهِمْ أُغْ ِرقُوا فَأُد‬
‫ن الِّ أَنصَارًا‬ ِ ‫َلهُم مّن دُو‬

[71:25] Because of their wrongs they were

drowned, then made to enter fire, so they did not
find any helpers besides Allah.
 Surah Nuh (Nuh)

َ‫َوقَالَ نُوحٌ ّربّ لَ تَذَرْ عَلَى الَْ ْرضِ مِن‬

‫ا ْلكَافِرِينَ َديّارًا‬

[71:26] And Nuh said: My Lord! leave not upon

the land any dweller from among the unbelievers:
 Surah Nuh (Nuh)

ّ‫ل يَلِدُوا إِل‬

َ َ‫ضلّوا عِبَادَكَ و‬ِ ‫إِنّكَ إِن تَذَرْهُمْ ُي‬
‫فَاجِرًا كَفّارًا‬

[71:27] For surely if Thou leave them they will lead

astray Thy servants, and will not beget any but
immoral, ungrateful (children)
 Surah Nuh (Nuh)

‫ي وَِلمَن دَخَلَ بَ ْي ِتيَ ُمؤْمِنًا‬ّ َ‫َربّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَِلوَالِد‬

ّ‫ن إِل‬
َ ‫ل تَزِ ِد الظّاِلمِي‬
َ َ‫ت و‬ ِ ‫وَِللْ ُمؤْ ِمنِينَ وَا ْلمُؤْ ِمنَا‬
‫تَبَارًا‬

[71:28] My Lord! forgive me and my parents and

him who enters my house believing, and the
believing men and the believing women; and do
not increase the unjust in aught but destruction!
