Mission Statement Delta Gamma offers to women of all ages a rich heritage based on principles of personal integrity, personal responsibility and intellectual honesty. Its primary purpose is to foster high ideals of friendship, promote educational and cultural interests, create a true sense of social responsibility, and develop the finest qualities of character.
History Delta Gamma was founded in 1873 in Mississippi by Eva Webdod, Ana Boyd Ellington, and Mary Comfort Leonard. Delta Gamma Fraternity can be found on numerous college campuses across the United States and Canada. Delta Gamma is referred to as a fraternity because when it was founded, the word sorority did not exist.
Philanthropy Their national philanthropy is Service for Sight which is an organization that supports schools for the blind, programs for the blind, and Continued on 4 the Guide Dog Foundation. Members of Delta Gamma at Adelphi are dedicated to raising money and awareness for this cause. Every semester they hold bake sales in the U.C Lobby, and all donations are sent to Service for Sight.

For all the PanHellenic Sororities on Campus at Adelphi, the Fall 2011 Recruitment started September 15th to the 20th. Schedule: *September 15th- Round Robin *September 16th- Round 1 *September 17th- Round 2 *September 19th- Pref *September 20th- Bid Day Delta Gamma recruited ten beautiful young women this fall to join and be apart of their sisterhood.
