This website shows me several pictures on trains accidents during the Industrial Revolution. This helped me, because it shows me how during the time of the Industrial Revolution, safety was not exactly the first priority of the workers.

This primary source is about Charles Dickens first hand view on child labor and several other aspects of the industrial revolution. This is a primary source, because this book was written during the same time period as when the industrial revolution was happening and includes a first hand point of view on child labor during the industrial revolution. This book has helped me on my topic, because it shows how it must have felt to have watched all this child labor taking place when you were an adult and also shows in-depth accounts of injuries and hardships that the children had endured.

Freedman, Russell, and Lewis Wickes Hine. Kids at Work: Lewis Hine and the Crusade against Child Labor. New York: Scholastic, 1994.

This primary source mainly discusses child labor in general and how it has impacted the children and the economy. It is a primary source, because it includes many photographs taken during the time period in which child labor was apparent. This book has helped me truly understand what children had to go through during the industrial revolution and also child labor in general. It also includes first hand accounts of what it felt like to be a parent and child during the time period, as there are several interviews that are in this book.

This website shows me several pictures during this time and what they resemble, such as the Bessemer process. This website shows me a variety of pictures and relates to the topic, because it shows what the numerous Factory Acts have stopped.

This site shows me the images taken during this time period of children working in factories. There were several different pictures, so it helped me really understand what the government had stopped when it created the laws against child labor.

This website provides specific data and facts about specifically child labor that took during place in the Industrial revolution. This website also presents a pie chart to show that 14% of Britains workforce in the 1750s were under 14. This website has helped me with my project, because it shows me how much children get paid to work and how long they actually work. This website shows me how the children were treated during this time and also what the government did to stop this torture.

This website showed talks generally about how harsh child labor had been during the Industrial Revolution and how children had started working. It clearly explains how families were looking to a better life, so they moved to Industrializing cities. There in the city, kids were then sent to work to generate their minimal wage. The people who had moved there had been disappointed to find that jobs had long hours and low pay. This website helped my topic, because it shows me how harshly the children were treated during this time and some of the many hazards that the children had faced when working, such as fumes and toxins.

This embedded document was placed on this website, it helped me see several photos of Child Labor in the process with proper captions. This helped me with my project and relates to this years history fair topic, because it displays several images that led to reform in factories with children working in them.

This book helped me gather information on my topic, specifically on child labor, unlike other books where I had to search in the book to find information on child labor. This helps me better understand this years theme, because it just basically talks about various acts or laws made by the government to stop child labor.

This book went along with the book about just child labor during the industrial revolution and was very helpful, as this book was also published during the time of the action and none of its information was outdated. This helps me relate to the theme better, because it shows me what was really going on in Europe during this time.

Smith, Nigel. The Industrial Revolution. Austin: Raintree Steck-Vaughn, 2003.

This book is mainly discussing the major aspects of the Industrial Revolution, such as the role of banking and how Britain lead the way. This book is important to my project, as it includes a general timeline on what happened to child labor during the industrial revolution. The timeline includes important acts, such as the Mines Act, which banned women and children to work underground.

This was one my most important sources, because it showed me all the laws or actions created against child labor. This connected my project with the topic very well, because it listed several reforms in factories to assist children, which was part of this years history fair topic.

This source provided me with a very emotional visual element of my project. It shows me several pictures with also touching background music. This helps me understand how

kids during this time have felt and what the effect of the industrial revolution has done on these boys.
