C ARROT CRAZE!

HOW CAN YOU TELL WHEN A CARROT IS READY TO BE HARVESTED??? 1. Weed and rake soil flat where you want to plant. Make sure you dig out the rocks too! 2. Put a couple of scoops of soil in a bucket for later. 3. Very carefully sprinkle the carrot seed evenly over the soil. 4. Lightly sprinkle soil from the bucket over the seeds (dont bury them too deep, they wont sprout!) 5. Now it is time for a good watering, soil must stay wet for the seeds to sprout, this could take 7-14 days! 6. Cover soil with shade cloth to help keep the miosture in until they sprout. 7. Once the seeds have sprouted, pull out some of the ones that are too close together. Carrots will grow bigger if they have room to grow. 8. Feed your carrots their favorite food, compost! A light sprinkle every once in a while will do! 9. Water often, and after about 2 months look for a big round carrot tops poking up. Harvest it and see what you have. 10. Finally wash them up, compost the tops, and enjoy the yummy carrots you grew. Good Job!
