I wholeheartedly agree that it is essential to preserve the character of the Coney Island Boardwalk, and believe that this can be accomplished in a way that does not destroy the rainforests. Rest assured that I will work with those who are involved with making this decision, including the NYC Department of Parks and Recreation, in the hope of making this historically correct and environmentally sound project a reality. In the meanwhile, we can help stop unnecessary destruction of the current boardwalk by not rolling the heaviest possible sanitation trucks over them.
