6th March 2012 Dear Parent/Carer Christs School Sports Relief Mile - Friday 23rd March 2012 This

year we are hosting a sponsored 1-mile walk for Sports Relief on March 23rd on the school site. The event will also see a number of local feeder Primary Schools attending the event as Christs aims to raise more money for Sports Relief than any other school in Richmond. We hope that every student would like to take part and raise money for this fantastic charity. Each student has been given a sponsorship form to collect their pledges in the run up to the day itself. As part of the fundraising drive, students will be able to wear their correct school PE kit on the day of the event for a cost of 2 each, all of which goes to Sports Relief Charity. As an added incentive, the boy and girl in each form group who raises the most money for Sports Relief 2012 will be given a ticket to attend the Olympic Games in London this summer as a reward for their hard work in collecting money. Two Year 9 tutor groups 9B and 9E will be attending the History trip to the Imperial War Museum on the same day and will be given the opportunity to be involved with this event earlier on in the week in the school gym. There will be a whole host of events on the day, including a cake sale by Miss Conteh in the Food Technology Department and other Sporty Events at lunch and break times. We hope you can support us in raising as much money as possible for this fantastic charity and show how much Christs School cares. Kind regards
