Name Daniel Marsicano Quarter/Trimester 3 2011-12 Advisory Anderson Project/Assignment Art Balloon Grade 6

What concepts or skills did you learn through the process of completing this project? How to paint with water colors, and the different techniques for water color painting. Some concepts and skills I learned are, wash, wet on wet, wet on dry, salt, sponge, crumpled paper, scraping and blotting.

What problems or challenges arose in the process of completing this project? How did you solve them? One of the most common problems I encountered in the process of making my art balloon was that I could not control the way the water color moved and dried and it leaved some water marks in my final project. Also that the accuracy of the water colors is pretty weak and I cannot be 100% sure of where it is going to go.

What was most successful about this project? The most successful part of my project was that my balloon really looks realistic and it stands out, because I used some colors that when they are mixed together one stands out of the other. Also the sky and the sun look pretty cool the way the all blend together.

What would you do differently the next time to improve your process or results?

Something that I would do to improve my art balloon would be taking my time and making sure that I properly put the watercolor. And not to paint over black marker because in my project in one of the sides I used a black maker and then when I paint over it the marker started bleeding out and there is a line in one of the side on my dynamite bundle.
